If only I had my video recorder handy at the time because this was ever so cute and funny to watch.
I was on the phone to my Mum (Nanny) at the time, with Preston laying on the lounge next to me. Addi grabs three of the cushions and stacks them up. Then he proceeds to runs off and grab Dr Seuss’ the Cat in the Hat book (which he was wanting me to read to him, as I was on the phone I said you can read it yourself). He climbed up on the lounge, making himself comfortable and starts reading it. Every page he was laughing, going meow, yeah (pointing at the cat in the hat), giggle giggle.
The fun didn’t stop there, when he had finished that book he announced “Done!” and runs off to grab Fox in Socks. At this point I’m in stitches laughing at him and at the same time thinking how adorable he was to read to Preston. I said to Mum, hold on a sec… I’ve got to take a photo of this!!
(Please excuse that Preston is only in a nappy, he had just come from a nap and because he is swaddled for them I often don’t dress him as he gets too hot.)
Love it- You know how much I love to see Addi enjoying books and I think Preston will too!
Addi looks so much older with his hair shorter – he’s growing up so fast.
Oh you would have loved to have seen it!! Was one of those moments where I wished I could have filmed it.
And yes he does, even Preston is growing up too fast. He’s getting bigger and bigger (and longer!!). I think he’s going to be tall! I’m looking forward to all the fun years ahead, but sometimes I wish time would slow down. I have these moments where I don’t know how it would be possible to love those boys anymore than I do. You don’t really know love until you have kids
