Both of the photos of you and your brother for today are to celebrate Father’s Day, so they are of you with Daddy on your first Father’s Day.

This afternoon we thought it might be a good opportunity to have a swim. This would have been your first swim in a pool but unfortunately the water was much too cold and you got up set and fussed every time I tried to put you in. I tried the spa area at the pool, but this was too hot. So this isn’t your “first swim,” I guess we will have to wait until it gets warmer to try again. We settled for a nice splash in the spa bath in our room instead. I do however love this photo, you look like a real little surfer with your blonde locks!

This is probably your first mischievous act (and just for the record, it happened on Daddy’s watch!) which of course deserves a photo taken before we stop you from pulling the entire pack of wipes out. Mummy was off getting things ready so we could go to the zoo, meanwhile Daddy was “looking after you” and this is the result.

While we are away on our mini getaway to the Sunshine Coast our floors are being sanded and stained, which means getting all the furniture off the floor. We have managed to do this but in the meantime are making do and living the best we can. This means that you have been having your baths in your tub on the kitchen floor. You are so cheeky though, trying to reach for things and lean out of the tub. You are also a nightmare to get dressed trying to escape from the towel, rolling everywhere. It’s like wrestling a crocodile trying to get you dressed for bed!

You thought that playing with the suitcase, opening and closing it was “helping Mummy to pack,” at least it was keeping you entertained.

More and more I have been finding you in odd positions in your cot, usually after a sleep. But today I put you in while I had my shower and you ended up getting yourself backed into a corner. If only you would work out forward movement!! This backward stuff keeps getting you into sticky situations.

You were pirate Preston today, looking very cute in your red spot beanie and pirate coveralls that only just fit (you have grown so much, I think this will be the last time you can wear these). You had lots of fun at Kaley’s party playing with her sister Summer
