Today I decided that it was time to try and fix Addi’s cradle cap. He has had some cradle cap for a little while now but I haven’t been very worried about it since his hair covers it up and it doesn’t cause him any discomfort. His hair is actually the reason I haven’t tried to fix it sooner.

When you are treating cradle cap you have to use baby oil on the affected areas of the head and for babies with hair this is very messy! Anyone that has used baby oil before will know how long it takes to get out. It takes many shampoos of the oily hair to get it back to normal, so I have been stalling for a while now.

Long story short, it has fixed it up a little but not completely (not as well as the first time I had to fix his cradle cap, but this was in an area that there wasn’t as much hair!). Since it isn’t causing any problems I’m going to leave it at that. Cradle cap isn’t itchy or uncomfortable, it is just about the looks. Since Addi has hair to cover it this doesn’t really concern me. I’ll just hope that eventually it will fix itself up as he gets older.
