After our first foiled attempt to go to the Southport Chuch of Christ morning play group, we finally made it to our first today!
Addi seemed to enjoy play group, it was a little tricky to get him to sit still for morning tea time…but it didn’t help that all the other kids had food he wanted to eat (we were in such a rush that I didn’t get a chance to pack a proper morning tea for him).
Due to the wet weather it was all indoors, apparently they usually play outside for a little bit during the warmer season. Addison still loved playing inside with all the cars and trains.
He was very clingy during the book/music/dance time and wasn’t quite sure how to join in, but I’m sure in a month or two he will be an expert. It doesn’t help that Mummy doesn’t know the songs either! He did need some encouragement with taking the instruments, but the lady (Alli) that runs the group was fantastic at helping and getting him involved.
It seems like a really nice group and well run as well! We didn’t do the craft as Addi was happy to just play so I let him do what made him happiest. Maybe soon he will want to come and do the craft too.
