After a very rough day yesterday the nurse came in to check on me at 4am as I was still in a lot of pain. Sure enough she found the reason why. Turns out that some of my stitches had burst, I was very bruised and had a nasty infection.
I was told that I might not get discharged and would have to wait and see what my obstetrician had to say about the situation before my discharge papers would be written up. What a disappointment since we have been looking forward to going home!
Charles had even taken most of my things home, and I only had one change of clothes that I had planned to wear to go home in. This became a little bit of an issue as sure enough my milk was well and truly in and my breasts had leaked all over my only top during my sleep.
What a morning! Now all I can do is wait to find out if we will be going home today…
