What a busy time I’ve been having this week with our recent bedroom renovations. We are preparing to paint and it sure is taking up a lot of my time…especially since I have to take it easy. Don’t worry, I’ve been taking frequent breaks and not over doing myself!!
Today I am 18 weeks pregnant, last week just seems to have disappeared on me. I guess that’s what happens when you keep yourself busy. We are of course still counting down the days until our next ultrasound appointment, less than two weeks away now! So exciting!! I just hope the next two weeks fly by, we are both really looking forward to seeing our baby again.
In my fifth month of pregnancy my baby will be approximately 15 cm from crown to rump, which of course we will get to see in the ultrasound along with how well our baby is developing.
Something else that has me buzzing with excitement is that our baby can now hear! For the moment it is only my heartbeat and other internal noises (boy will jellybean be sick of my tummy, it never stops making noise!!), but it won’t be long before the baby will be able to hear outside the womb and recognise our voices. I guess this means that soon Charles will be saying daddy, daddy, daddy to my belly to try and scoop in on our baby’s first word He thinks if he gets a head start he might just get lucky!!
