Unknown to us, there was actually a special day on in the park for Daniel Morcombe which meant there were jumping castles, music & entertainment and a free petting zoo! Addi saw that this was all going on, so once we had finished feeding the ducks we went for a walk to have a look. We decided to see if Addi wanted to have a look at the animals in the petting zoo. He was a bit hesitant at first but had a few giggles at some of the animals.
I feel so lucky to have my special little boy in my life, and it’s heart breaking to think that what the Morcombe family has gone through. But after all that, they take the time and make sure that something terrible like what happened to Daniel doesn’t happen to another family. They are very strong and it really is a wonderful thing that they have invested their time in.
Next it was off to the shops for Daddy to buy Addison a special car for his Birthday present especially from Daddy. Addi ended up with more than one car this time!! He was spoilt by Daddy with a new Hot Wheels 17 car set and 2 launchers, plus this one particular hot wheels car that Addi just had to have for some reason. We did have to go into Daddy’s work, but the cars and launches kept Addi very entertained once he woke up from his little 30 min cat nap.
