Mummy’s been collecting roll on deodorant bottles for a while now with plans to turn them into roll on paints for Addi. After finally getting three, one for each primary colour, it was time to get them ready for the paint.

They are really simple. Just pop the ball out with a knife (some the entire top comes off, it just depends on the bottle) and give them a good soak in hot, soapy water. Once they are clean all you do is fill them with paint, either powdered or liquid. I used powdered with water but will give normal acrylic a go next time. Then push the ball back in, turn up and get it rolling.

I found them to work fairly well but sometimes the ball needed a helping hand. Perhaps the liquid paint would help it to roll better? All in all these are a great way for little kids to paint without the huge clean up!!
