Well I’m happy to say that after weeks and weeks of hard work, the painting and renovations of our master bedroom are now complete (except for painting the doors, but we will be getting new ones so that can wait) and we will sleep in our bed tonight for the first time in a very long time!

We have done so much work to our house and it is certainly all worthwhile, what a feeling of accomplishment! We are trying very hard to get the house renovations (at least on the inside) done before Addison’s arrival, so we still have much to do. We have also just crossed the 2 year mark of being home owners, so that’s a great milestone to reach! This also means that we have put in 2 years of hard work, making our house a home.

The recent renovations completed to our main bedroom involved replacing the ceiling and therefore the replacement of the cornice, which of course meant a totally new paint job as well. We also put new light fittings in and will be purchasing a new ceiling fan shown below (one of the other last items that will finalise the room).

We have now repainted all of the downstairs of our house and the master bedroom with just the main open-plan living/kitchen area to be painted. However next on the list is new carpet for Addi’s room and our spare bedroom (also known as my sewing room) the only two carpeted rooms in the house. I have to also say that it is nice to finally have all of my bedroom furniture out of the living area and back into the bedroom where it belongs. You wouldn’t believe how open the house now feels with all the furniture moved back into place!
