Over the weekend my husband and I went to a local school fete and had a blast! Not only did we enjoy some wonderful, homemade chocolate fudge and some yummy fairy floss (cotton candy) we were lucky enough to win a prize in the cent auction! I had never entered one before so I really had no idea what one was or what I was doing.

They had some fantastic prizes in the cent auction ranging from gift certificates and vouchers to donated prize packs. There were two particular prizes that grabbed my attention, one of which I won! Unfortunately I missed out on the $300.00 baby bedding pack but won the following special baby pack:

School Fete Cent Auction Prize

School Fete Cent Auction Prize

It contains this fantastic baby time capsule to store all those precious memories and something that I think would be wonderful to open all those years later on my bub’s 21st birthday! It includes a growth chart, hand & foot print poster, family tree poster, progress diary (similar to the baby chronicles), concertina photo frame, mini keepsake file (perfect for locks of hair etc), sealing stickers and 3 satin sachets for those treasured items such as the hospital ID bracelet. It also has a list of wonderful suggestions of items that might be worth keeping in the time capsule.

The prize pack is teddy bear themed and of course includes Jellybean’s first teddy bear as well as a story book with 9 short stories about teddy bears and their adventures. There is a wonderful photograph album, again in a teddy theme and will be perfect for putting some wonderful photo memories in. Also something little for me is this beautiful, scented soap.

I’m sure you will agree that it was a fantastic prize to win for my little one, especially since it was only $5.00 worth of tickets to enter and all the money goes to the school! What a great weekend at the school fete :)

I also scored some wonderful second hand clothes for a small donation ($2 for 2 plasic bags to fill!!) which might just be a life saver as my existing clothes being to shrink – or as my Ob said to me when I mentioned that my clothes were getting a little tight “I can assure you, it’s not the clothes” – typical male smarty pants hehe! I got a range of large sized clothes that despite not being maternity clothes, should help me to get a little more time without spending a great deal of money on maternity clothes, something that I will only need for about five months! I would much rather spend money on baby clothes and things for jellybean :)
