As everyone knows the first trimester is a difficult time for pregnant women, with the chance of 15 to 20% of known pregnancies to end in miscarriage.

Today I had my own scare as I experienced some bleeding. I naturally called the midwife immediately to find out what I should do and get some advice. Since the bleeding was only light and there was no associated pain I was instructed to monitor for changes. I was also booked in for another appointment tomorrow to have an ultrasound and check for the baby’s heart beat.

Very stressed and nervous about what might be wrong, it would be a long wait for the both of usĀ until the 12.50 pm appointment tomorrow.
