Earlier this week I contacted Cassy at Signature Sculptures volunteering my growing pregnant belly for her to cast. She specialises in casting pregnant women and then when you have bub you can have moulds of their hands, feet and even bums made!! You may have seen them before, they are 100% adorable and the best way to keep that memory of their tiny feet and hands.

I initially was looking to find pricing for when Squiggle arrives so that I can get hand and feet moulds of both his and Addison’s hands and feet, framed with a photo of the two of my beautiful boys. Then when I saw that Cassy was looking for people to have their belly cast so she could use them as examples of her work at her market stall I jumped at the chance!!

Having a belly cast done was something I was always interested in doing when I was pregnant with Addison, but never knew where I would put it once I had it done. I always wanted to experience it though and so I offered my belly to her. She allowed me to take photos of the casting and I can’t wait to see it once it’s all dry and finished off properly.

I’m now even considering having it done when I’m further along and keeping it for myself. She said that she can also frame them for quite a reasonable price, which I thought would be a great idea. It would make a wonderful center piece for my maternity and newborn photos for my pregnancy with Squiggle.

I was so impressed by Cassy and the work that she does that I have offered to help her create her new website as her business expands. I look forward to sharing this with you all when it is up and running. For now the best way to find out more information is by doing what I did and heading to her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/SignatureSculptures. You can talk directly with her and see some examples of her work. She is lovely and I had the best experience, I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get any sort of casting done. Check out the photos from my belly cast!!!
