Last weekend we visited my mum and dad after purchasing our pram and baby car seat (which is on order, and I’ll write more about these when we finally pick them up). Mum had been very busy during the week and a huge stash of clothes and baby things for me. She had been washing them all up for me during the week.
There were clothes, singlets, terry towel flat nappies, booties, baby blankets and bunny rugs. These were all from when she had me and has been keeping them all this time. Needless to say there would have been a lot more if I was expecting a girl, so I will still have to get some more clothes, but I was shocked at how much she had that we could still use!
Mum and dad also had a cupboard with drawers for us to use in Addison’s room to take home with us. It is currently a varnished timber which we will sand back and stain in a Walnut colour to match the rest of the furniture in the baby’s room. We will also update it a little by adding new handles and knobs to the door and drawers. It will be a great help since we are having a boy, I’m sure the drawers will be very handy as most of the clothes will be folded rather than hung. I’ll be sure to show you pictures of the finished cupboard when I’ve updated it!
In the above picture you can also see a few items on the top shelf that have all been bought new for Addi. I went shopping with mum as soon as I found out I was having a boy and bought some cute little things for him :). I will have to show you a few of my favourites over the next couple of months.
