I went to Spotlight today while I was out running an erand for my hubby and they had lots of fabulous baby items on clearance. Now I have been trying to stop buying things as I know that with my baby shower coming up friends and family will want to know what to buy me and gift ideas. I have been mainly trying to buy the big ticket items and avoiding the little things, but I could not help myself today with such great prices!
The first thing I want to show you was this change pad I picked up for only $15.00 (I had actually seen these over the last couple of months and they had been reduced then, but not this low).
Some of you might know but I plan to use my laundry bench for change and bath time rather than having a separate change table in Addison’s room. I will also have a change station upstairs to avoid me having to carry Addi up and down the stairs when I need to change his nappy. This will most likely (I’m still very undecided on this) be a portable change table or a second hand change/bath combo, but I’m yet to work out what is going to be best for this.
The change pad that I bought from Spotlight today is actually fantastic for travel as it folds in half and is made from dunlop foam with a removable, washable cover.
Now I must have had nappy changing on the mind as the other thing I bought from Spotlight today was a nappy stacker. I had actually planned to make one using my old one that mum gave me as a pattern, however at these prices I wouldn’t even be able to buy the material! I did buy a small nappy stacker from Spotlight for $3.00 a week or so ago (also from Spotlight) for use upstairs… these were now down to $1.50. Although what did excite me was they had also further reduced the price of the pretty and larger nappy stackers that had embroidered pictures on them to $3.00 from the already reduced price of $7.00, so I grabbed one for downstairs.
In the above photo you can see the smaller nappy stacker at the back in plain blue that I will use upstairs, and my most recent purchase with the cute little I love you bear! I also picked up a couple of things for the baby shower but more on that closer to the date :).
