My dear friend Eleni had given my husband and I a Borders gift card for a Christmas gift, last Christmas. For those of you that haven’t been to a Borders store they sell books and dvds and stationery, so it is more than just a book shop.
So this weekend Charles and I went shopping for Easter eggs for the family and while we were at Robina Town Center decided to see if there was something that we liked at Borders to use our gift card on.
We had thought we might end up using it on a book related to the baby, but having already got a rather comprehensive reference book, having selected names, the only type of book that we could think would be a lovely gift was somewhere we could document our baby’s birth and the years immediately following. There were only a select few of these books most of which were very commercial, including pictures of pooh bear or snuggle pot and cuddle pie throughout the book.
Then we came across “Baby Chronicles” which had a basic and clear layout with simple, cute graphics on the pages; nothing that took away from the purpose of the book. It was also the most complete record book including a place to record information that I would not have even thought to do so. Ranging from pre-natal to pre-school years, this book sure was the pick for us.
The book includes pages that I can complete or partially complete now, such as to document the baby’s Family Tree. However there are many pages that of course I need to wait til the little one is born.
What a great record and keep sake this book will be for years to come. Thanks Eleni for this wonderful Christmas Pressie!!!
