I love going to the zoo and seeing all the animals. I especially love the look on Addison’s face when he walks around, particularly now that he is old enough and starting to recognise and know the names of the animals. We had taken him to the Cairns Zoo when we were on holidays there, but he was much littler then and only really enjoyed watching the animals move about.
I’ve lived in Queensland my whole life and never been to Australia Zoo, so this time to the Sunshine Coast we had made plans for a visit. It was a wonderful day, we all really enjoyed it. Even Preston wasn’t difficult to look after during our time there. It was quite a hot day, and a fair bit of walking, but great to see all the animals. My favourite have to be the giraffes. Addi loved the rhinos and even bought a toy rhino as a souvenir of his time at the zoo.
I was surprised to not see bigger crocs, I remember seeing very large crocodiles at the Cairns Zoo and expecting the same since it was the home of the Croc Hunter, Steve Irwin! Never the less it was a great day out!
