After playing the Wii Tiger Woods golf game Charles and Dad were keen to try their hand at real golf! Since the holiday apartments we were staying in actually had a golf course we were in for a day of golfing fun!
It was funny from the start and was bound to be an amusing day for all involved (perhaps even somewhat frustrating for others). Of course Mum and myself would not be playing so we decided that we would join in the fun by hiring a golf cart and viewing the golfers from the safety of the cart. I got to drive the cart but unfortunately no-one took a photo of me doing so!! I guess you will all just have to take my word for it.
From the moment the boys hired their golf clubs and had to buy some golf balls to use the laughter began. They decided to start out with a massive total of two balls… one each. Now for two people that have had very little golfing experience (if any at all) we all secretly knew it wouldn’t be long before we would be back to buy more golf balls! Lucky we had that golf cart to get back easily.
The fun began as they both went to tee off. It wasn’t long before the golf balls went flying through the air and into the rough hehe. I think it was more of a golf ball hunt than a round of 9 hole golf.

As expected Mum and I had to drive back and buy some more golf balls after losing the starting balls rather quickly into the game. Driving the cart was heaps of fun once I got the hang of it, however towards the end (between the 7th and 8th hole) the cart just died and wouldn’t move :(. Before you say anything, no it wasn’t my fault! This was a bit of a downer on the afternoon as we both had to walk back to sort out the golf cart problem.
It was still a fun day, and here is some proof that they did eventually get the ball in the hole.
