As most of you know if you have been following my blog I have been putting off buying any maternity clothes for as long as possible, however in the last two weeks I have had a significant gain in size around my waist. It was finally time for me to hit the shops and get myself a pair of maternity jeans.

I had looked at maternity jeans in the past and really didn’t like the cheap nasty look of most found in department stores. However another pregnant friend of mine had mentioned that Jeanswest are now doing a really good pair of jeans for pregnant women.

My New Jeanswest Bootcut Maternity Jeans

Dragging mum along (as I usually do on my little shopping expeditions) we went to her local shopping center and took a look at the maternity jeans at Jeanswest. I normally take a half-size at Jeanswest for my regular jeans, although they do not do the half sizes in their maternity range. So I ended up going up a size to compensate for this and my expanding rear!

As far as maternity clothes go, these jeans are great and don’t look like your regular daggy maternity jeans. My only issue with these is that they are (like nearly all pants) designed and made for tall people! So they are a touch long on me, but I suppose I’ll just roll them up as it does of course vary depending if I’m wearing my boots or flat shoes. I went for the bootleg cut too, since it is winter at the moment, I figured this would be more sensible and I’m likely to wear boots with my jeans.

I have a feeling that I’m going to live in my new jeans since realistically they are about the only pants that fit comfortably other than my tights and leggings. I was also lucky enough to have a $10 off coupon which bought the price down from $65 to $55 for these Jeanswest maternity jeans. I will hopefully get a lot of wear out of my new jeans!! And who knows, I might just need them again sometime in the future :).
