Having never stayed in hospital before I had no idea what to expect.I can’t praise the Pindara Private Hospital staff high enough!! (plus the hospital food was fantastic, very tasty, I might just take the chef home with me hehe).
Basically we have Addi in our room for the entire time (we can take him to be looked after though if we need a break) and the nurses are on call to help us with any problems any time of day.
Mummy and Addison Early Monday Morning After Our First Night in Hospital.
The first day/night has been a learning experience, from nappy changing to breast feeding. Both Addi and I are still working out the breast feeding and seem to struggle on the left side, but no problems with the right. We will get there eventually, it’s all just one big learning process for the three of us.

We tried different methods of breast feeding shown to us by the nurses at the hospital, including laying on my side. We are still both working out what is best and most comfortable for us both.
