I decided to start a new Christmas tradition this year by introducing a Christmas Eve box. I saw the idea via Facebook from a Pinterest pin and decided that it would be nice to do for my boys. The idea is that you put all sorts of things in that are special for Christmas Eve. In the image they had things like Christmas pjs, Christmas movies with popcorn, hot chocolate, treats for Santa and the reindeer.
For my box I decided to put Christmas pjs for both the boys including special Christmas socks/booties, popcorn (to go with Christmas movies), a Christmas activity book, a Christmas story book, plates, cup and oreos for Santa, reindeer food, and a soft toy for Preston. I was going to include a Christmas craft too, but decided not to since we have been doing those leading up to Christmas.
Usually these “Christmas Eve Boxes” are for Christmas eve at night but because my boys are young and Preston goes to bed at 6.30 pm we decided that it would be best to do it all during the day leading up to the night, with the last thing we would do would be to leave the treats for Santa and the reindeer.
