The time has come for Addison to start his schooling journey. Today is his first day of kindergarten. It was a mad rush as we got him ready to go (and of course took a multitude of photos!). There isn’t really an exact start time, but I wanted to try my very best to stick to 9 am to try and prepare him for “big school.” He will be doing quite long days, attending until 4.30 pm, however only 2 days (Wednesday and Thursday).

After missing out on sending him to the kindy at our preferred school I looked around for other options. We decided on Church of Christ Care (as this is at the church we attend). It is however a kindergarten approved day care, so we will see how he goes and how much education actually happens. Addi is quite ahead so they will need to really challenge him. I’m still investigating other options to make sure he is getting the very best start.

I’ve done a few different first day photos as a keepsake, here they are:

I am so proud of my gorgeous, clever grandson and especially to see him growing into such a considerate and well-mannered young man. I just love when he asks me to play games with him. Can’t wait to see them all again soon!
